On September 16, 2019, at approximately 6:54 p.m., Wilmington police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1000 block of North Van Buren Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Kenyotta "Yotta" Manuel suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Manuel succumbed to his injuries.
