Kenyotta N. Manuel was a 21-year-old Black man whose life ended in a burst of gunfire near Cool Spring Park in Wilmington, Delaware, on the evening of September 16, 2019. Shortly before 7 p.m., Wilmington police were called to the 1000 block of North Van Buren Street after reports that shots had been fired. Officers arriving in the area found Manuel suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency aid was provided, but his injuries proved fatal, and he died that evening.
