A warm summer evening in Wilmington, Delaware, carried no hint of the tragedy that would unfold later. In the late hours of August 15, 2015, a 32‑year‑old African‑American man named Markevis Clark, described as a 32‑year‑old Wilmington man, was fatally shot in the 800 block of Vandever Avenue.
