Sheryl Johnson, a 44-year-old African American woman, was one of the victims of a series of murders that occurred in Chicago's South Side during the 1990s. Her body was discovered in an abandoned building, exhibiting signs consistent with other victims in the case: she was nude below the waist, her face had been severely battered and was covered, and her shoes were missing. These similarities led investigators to link her death to a pattern of homicides in the area.
