A 31-year-old Black male, Kirk Durrell Flowers Jr., was fatally shot on the night of July 4, 2020, during a large gathering at Rosegate Park in New Castle County, Delaware. Two other adult males were also struck by gunfire. All three were transported to a local hospital; Mr. Flowers succumbed to his injuries.
