On January 26, 2018, at approximately 4:30 p.m., 18-year-old Zahviaire Berry-Shivers was driven to Wilmington Hospital and left at the ambulance bay, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at 4:59 p.m., just 29 minutes after his arrival. Investigations revealed that the shooting occurred in the 2300 block of North Pine Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
