Black/African American male Brian Halliday, 28, was shot on the night of June 1, 2024, on the 13000 block of South Old State Road in Ellendale, Delaware. Troopers arrived around 10:47 p.m. to find him in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the chest. Life-saving efforts began at the scene, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
