On September 27, 2020, Devin Wright, a 20-year-old junior at Delaware State University (DSU), was fatally shot during a large, unsanctioned party at Schutte Park in Dover, Delaware. The gathering, attended by approximately 300 to 500 individuals, primarily DSU students, turned deadly when a shootout erupted among multiple suspects.
