In the early hours of November 24, 2022, Dover Police responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Forest Creek Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Walter Pereira lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by officers and paramedics, Pereira was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
