On the evening of April 14, 2024, at approximately 8:33 p.m., 15-year-old Elijah Kellum was fatally shot near the intersection of South Governors Avenue and West Reed Street in Dover, Delaware. Responding officers found Elijah with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
