Kenneth Lyde, a 32-year-old man from Baltimore, Maryland, was shot and killed on May 20, 2023, at approximately 12:20 a.m. in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The incident occurred during a weekend marked by violence in the city, which also saw a 15-year-old shot in a separate incident. Emergency medical personnel transported Lyde to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
