On June 2, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., New Castle County police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Cedar Avenue in the Cedar Heights community near Belvedere, Delaware. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Rajohn S. Hardaway suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite officers' attempts to administer first aid, Hardaway was pronounced dead at the scene.
