On January 23, 2015, 16-year-old Jordan K.D. Ellerbe was fatally shot while sitting on a porch in Wilmington, Delaware's Hilltop neighborhood. The incident occurred as Ellerbe and two friends were listening to music; two others were also injured but survived. Ellerbe, a student at A.I. du Pont High School, was not affiliated with any gangs.
