On June 28, 2021, 27-year-old Black female Alexis Woods of Philadelphia was found fatally shot in Newark, Delaware, following a vehicle crash near the Christiana Mall. Delaware State Police responded to the scene at approximately 4:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a car accident near the Target store in the mall's parking area.
