On September 21, 2023, in Newark, Delaware, 31-year-old Petya V. Novakova was fatally shot in a tragic incident that also left a 34-year-old man injured and resulted in the death of the shooter. The events unfolded in the early hours at a residence on Leader Drive in the Newark Oaks community.
