On January 7, 2022, at approximately 7:19 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 200 block of Harriet Street in Dover. Kyle Leonard, 35, had called 911, stating he had shot and killed his mother inside the home. Upon arrival, troopers found Leonard in the front yard and took him into custody without incident.
