On the evening of September 26, 2023, Wilmington police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1200 block of East 13th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 27-year-old Devin Thomas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
