Devin A. Thomas Jr., a 27-year-old Black/African American man from Wilmington, Delaware, was killed on the night of September 26, 2023, after gunfire broke out along the 1200 block of East 13th Street. Officers were called to the area shortly before 10:20 p.m. for a reported shooting and found Thomas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services responded, and he was rushed by ambulance to a trauma center in critical condition, but he later died from his injuries.
