On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1:26 a.m., 25-year-old Syncere "Skuzz" Friends was fatally shot near Irish Mike's pub on West Loockerman Street in Dover, Delaware. Officers arriving at the scene found Friends with a gunshot wound to his chest and a 30-year-old woman from Magnolia with a gunshot wound to her lower body. Both victims were transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus, where Friends succumbed to his injuries.
