On February 15, 2006, 28-year-old Robert Luke Wagner, a businessman and mortgage loan officer from Gray, Maine, was fatally shot in Portland. His body was discovered a week later, buried in a makeshift grave in Baldwin. The investigation led to the arrest of Steven M. Clark, a 28-year-old Portland resident and business associate of Wagner. Clark was charged with Wagner's murder.
