In the early morning hours of September 23, 2013, the tranquility of the small town of Oakfield, Maine, was shattered by a brutal act of violence. Michael Kitchen, a 51-year-old Caucasian male, and his partner, 49-year-old Heidi Pratt, were tragically killed in their home on the Oakfield-Smyrna Road. The couple was asleep when an intruder entered their residence, unleashing a deadly assault.
