On September 16, 1999, in Brownville, Maine, 37-year-old William Pratt was fatally shot by his neighbor, 29-year-old Clinton Price. Following the shooting, Price engaged in a standoff with the Maine State Police tactical team, which culminated in Price being shot and killed by law enforcement officers.
