In the quiet, rural town of St. Albans, Maine, the morning of April 8, 2016, was shattered by a tragic discovery. Randy Erving, a 53-year-old White male, was found deceased in his home on McNally Road. An investigation would soon reveal that he had been fatally shot. The events leading to this grim finding began to unfold earlier that day when Randy's nephew, 24-year-old Jeremy Erving, walked into the Somerset County Sheriff's Office and reported a shooting.
