On July 14, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Lewiston police responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots at 77 Rideout Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 17-year-old Sahal Muridi lying deceased in the roadway. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Witnesses reported seeing a silver Mercedes and a black Dodge Challenger with a temporary Maine registration plate fleeing the scene. ...Read More
