On October 25, 2023, 51-year-old Michael R. Deslauriers II of Sabattus, Maine, was among the 18 victims fatally shot during a mass shooting in Lewiston. The tragedy unfolded at two locations: Just-In-Time Recreation, a bowling alley, and Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant.
