On October 25, 2023, 64-year-old Keith D. Macneir was among the 18 victims of a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Macneir had traveled to Lewiston to celebrate his birthday with his son, Breslin Macneir. While waiting for his son at Schemengees Bar & Grille, one of the two targeted locations, he was fatally shot.
