Steven Vozzella, a 45-year-old White male, was tragically killed on October 25, 2023, in Lewiston, Maine, a victim of a mass shooting that claimed the lives of 17 other people. A resident of Lewiston and a beloved member of the deaf community, Vozzella was participating in a cornhole tournament at Schemengees Bar & Grille when the gunman opened fire. This event was one of two locations targeted that evening, the other being the Just-In-Time Recreation bowling alley.
