A man is killed during an apparent robbery
On February 6, 2008, Darrel Smith, a 56-year-old business owner, was found shot to death at his sawmill on Thomas Road in Woodland, Maine. Smith owned and operated Smith's Sawmill and Logging, a small family-run business adjacent to his home. His wife, Barbara Smith, discovered his body upon returning home that afternoon.
