On June 13, 2011, in Dexter, Maine, 13-year-old Coty Lake was tragically killed alongside his mother, Amy Lake, and his 12-year-old sister, Monica. The perpetrator was Steven Lake, Amy's estranged husband and the children's father, who subsequently took his own life. This devastating event was a culmination of escalating domestic violence and systemic failures.
