On August 11, 2021, the tragic deaths of 8-year-old Da'Nilya Bankhead and her mother, 27-year-old Terri Bankhead, shocked the community of St. Louis, Missouri. The two were found tied to a bed and fatally shot in their home. The discovery was made by Terri Bankhead's mother, who had been trying to reach her daughter throughout the day. When she arrived at their residence, she found both her daughter and granddaughter deceased, bound with rope, and shot multiple times.
