On the morning of April 24, 2017, tragedy struck a residence in the Glasgow Village neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Evelyn Gates, a 51-year-old female, was inside her home on the 400 block of Kirkwall Drive, resting in a front bedroom. Around 2:30 a.m., the silence of the night was shattered when a vehicle traveling down the street unleashed a hail of gunfire at the single-family house.
