In a quiet home in Spanish Lake, a northern suburb of Saint Louis, Missouri, the life of 40-year-old Melissa Tierney was tragically cut short on the night of April 25, 2018. The house on Northdale Drive became the scene of a brutal triple homicide, where Tierney, alongside Brandon Stephenson, 36, and Timothy Solano, 20, were discovered deceased by law enforcement officers.
All three victims had been fatally shot in the head at close range.
Police were initially called to the residence around 11:50 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a fourth victim, a 49-year-old woman, who had also sustained a gunshot wound but was still alive. She was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition, becoming the sole survivor of the violent encounter. The St. Louis County Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit promptly took charge of the investigation into the horrific events that had transpired within the home.
The investigation swiftly led to a person of interest, and by the following day, a suspect was in custody. Demetrius Davis, a 27-year-old man, was subsequently charged with three counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Melissa Tierney, Brandon Stephenson, and Timothy Solano. Court documents revealed the chilling detail that he was accused of shooting each of the three victims in the head. Following the charges, Davis was held without bond as the legal process against him commenced.
