In the late summer of 2019, the tranquility of the small town of Leeds, Maine, was broken by a grim discovery. On August 31st, the body of 31-year-old Nadi Hagi Mohamed, a Black/African American man, was found along a road. An autopsy would later confirm that he had been shot to death, and authorities immediately deemed his death suspicious, launching a homicide investigation.
