On November 21, 2014, 23-year-old Richard Robert Lobor was fatally shot in a Portland, Maine, apartment. The incident occurred during a dispute between Abdirahman Huessin Haji-Hassan and another individual. Lobor intervened in an attempt to de-escalate the situation but was shot in the leg and then in the head by Haji-Hassan, who subsequently fled the scene.
