In the early morning hours of April 26, 2022, a report of an argument followed by the sound of gunshots drew Portland police to the 100 block of Woodford Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals in the roadway with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was Derald Darry Coffin, a 43-year-old Caucasian male from West Bath. He was transported to Maine Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. A 27-year-old woman who was with Coffin was also shot, but her injuries ...
