Malani Lang, a 36-year-old resident of Shoshone, Idaho, was tragically killed on May 9, 2018. Her body was discovered in her home by Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies responding to a welfare check.

The investigation quickly focused on Lang's boyfriend, 54-year-old Jimmy Lee Murphy. Murphy was apprehended in Twin Falls later that same day. He was charged with first-degree murder and was also wanted on a parole violation warrant.
