On May 19, 2007, in Moscow, Idaho, 30-year-old Crystal Dawn Hamilton was tragically killed by her husband, Jason Hamilton. The incident began at their home, where Jason fatally shot Crystal. He then proceeded to the Latah County Courthouse, initiating a shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of Moscow Police Sgt. Lee Newbill and First Presbyterian Church sexton Paul Bauer. Jason Hamilton ultimately took his own life inside the church.
