On September 12, 2017, 70-year-old Pamela Ferriere was fatally shot in her hospital room at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The shooter was identified as her son, Travis Frink, 48, of Warwick, Rhode Island.
