A young woman is discovered dead of massive head trauma
On September 28, 1981, 23-year-old Laura Kempton was found brutally murdered in her apartment on Chapel Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She was discovered by a police officer attempting to serve her with a court summons. Kempton, a beauty school student and aspiring model, had suffered massive head trauma from blunt force, and evidence suggested she was killed in the early hours of that morning after returning home from a night out.
