On June 23, 2014, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, 45-year-old Timothy Robillard was fatally shot in his apartment on North Bend Street. The assailant, 43-year-old Robert Amado from Carver, Massachusetts, forcibly entered the residence by shooting through a window after observing his ex-girlfriend inside with Robillard.
