In the pre-dawn hours of a Saturday in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the life of Keshaudas Spence, a 29-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short. On June 26, 2021, police responded to reports of shots fired on Central Avenue. Their investigation led them to a vehicle stopped on the nearby George Bennett Industrial Highway. Inside, they discovered Spence in the passenger seat, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
