In the early hours of February 18, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Pawtucket, Rhode Island street, leaving a young life extinguished. Jontel Tavares, a 20-year-old Hispanic male, was discovered inside a vehicle on Benefit Street at approximately 1:15 a.m., suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
