On the night of October 31, 2017, 28-year-old James "Chicken" Goddard was fatally shot in Providence, Rhode Island. Around 10:30 p.m., police discovered Goddard wounded inside a car parked in the Nicholas Brown Yards lot on Olney Street. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
