On September 5, 2018, 15-year-old William "Eddy" Parsons was fatally shot outside the Providence Career and Technical Academy (PCTA) in Providence, Rhode Island. A sophomore at Central High School, Parsons was an innocent bystander waiting for his father to pick him up after the second day of classes. He was known for his kindness, dedication to his family, and passion for basketball, aspiring to try out for his school's team and eventually become a Rhode Island State Trooper.
