Ivan Encarnacion, a 25-year-old man from Providence, Rhode Island, was fatally shot on the evening of February 12, 2023, in what authorities have labeled a homicide. The incident occurred in the area of the city's Silver Lake neighborhood, a residential part of Providence. Encarnacion was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside, and despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
