Nancy Kay Vickers, 59, a White/Caucasian woman, was found dead on September 23, 2014, in rural Custer County, South Dakota. Investigators from the Custer County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation that same day. Early information noted a fatal gunshot wound, and authorities said they were awaiting final autopsy results while indicating that no foul play was suspected.
