On January 5, 2022, 38-year-old Alma Ree (Howe) Garneaux was tragically killed in a triple homicide near Wounded Knee on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. The victims, including Garneaux, Jamie Graham, and Michael White Plume Sr., were found shot to death inside a home. The incident shocked the local community and prompted an investigation by the FBI and the Oglala Sioux Tribe’s Department of Public Safety.
