On July 29, 2017, 24-year-old Brandon Michael Eischens was fatally shot in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The incident occurred at the apartment of his older brother, Jeremy Alan Eischens. Initially, Jeremy claimed that Brandon had been injured in a drive-by shooting. However, upon further investigation, he admitted to accidentally discharging a firearm while showing it to Brandon. At the time, Jeremy had been consuming alcohol and marijuana.
