Steven Hanson, a 44-year-old resident of rural Sinai, South Dakota, tragically lost his life on September 12, 2023, due to an accidental firearm discharge. While target shooting with a pistol, Hanson was returning from his target area and needed to cross a cattle panel fence. During this process, his firearm inadvertently discharged, striking him once.
