In the summer of 2017, a young man's life was tragically cut short in what was described as a hunting accident in South Dakota. Seventeen-year-old Daryl Zimmerman Martin, a male from Elma, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Born on April 23, 2000, in Elma to Noah and Marian Martin, Daryl was a member of the local community and had been employed at Jed's Construction for the year leading up to his death.
