On January 12, 2019, 24-year-old Marcus B. Antonio of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, passed away at the Cheyenne River Health Center. In the days following his death, the FBI sought a 16-year-old boy in connection with the incident, issuing a warrant for the teen's arrest and offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
