On a crisp autumn afternoon in South Dakota, a hunting trip turned into a tragedy, ending the life of 30-year-old Dylan Evans, a White/Caucasian male from Piedmont. It was November 12, 2023, and Evans was with several companions, including some juveniles, walking through a field near Red Owl in Meade County. Around 2:30 p.m., the sound of a single gunshot echoed through the rural landscape. Evans was struck by the bullet and was pronounced dead at the scene when authorities arrived.
